A Fresh Take on Rock ‘n’ Roll Vanila Swing was formed in Athens in 2011. Over the years the band has crafted a unique and dynamic sound, fusing 50’s Rockabilly and 40’s Swing with fresh Rock ‘n’ Roll elements. Through this strong musical direction, they reinterpret classic and contemporary songs and produce original works.The band’s exciting rhythms infect the body and soul, inviting everyone to the dance floor.

Known for their ability to blend diverse musical styles into a cohesive and engaging sound, Vanila Swing is ready to demonstrate once again why they are at the forefront of the Greek music scene.

With a setlist that includes their hits and a selection of reimagined classics, Vanila Swing pays homage to musical legends from Elvis to the Beatles, from Ray Charles to the White Stripes, and from Wanda Jackson to Tzeni Vanou. In 2016 they realeased their first album “The Rose” and in 2024 their second album “Frabalas”, music & lyrics by George Markopoulos & music production by Thodoris Kontakos a.k.a Kyrios K. Their unique blend of swing, rock 'n' roll, blues, and rockabilly, enriched with a vintage flair, guarantees an evening full of lively dances, vibrant atmosphere, and explosive musicality.

Lida Angelaki - Lead singer

Lida Angelaki

She was born and raised in Athens, Greece. Since her early age she started dealing with music and dance. She first started studying the piano at Hellenic music school and later on she started ballet. In 1997 she moved to London , where she studied dance (ballet, jazz, tap dancing, etc). Returning to Greece, she completed her studies in singing, at National music school of Athens obtaining a diploma in singing. She worked with well- known greek pop singers as a dancer, and she toured around Greece. She choreographed as well as dancing commercial events, did fashion shows, concerts , tv shows. She took part in films such as ‘’firecurl’ ’ for Cannes Awards and ‘’milk’’ . As a lead singer she took part in several bands over the the last years.In 2010 she started forming vanila swing. Having the passion for the sound of 40's and 50's music, started exploring many different styles of music and changing them into the vintage sound of rock 'n' roll and rockabilly. With vanilla swing ,she performed in Athens and all around Greece, in numerous festivals and events and now is getting ready to expand her passion for music to Europe etc.

Andreas Kampylis

Andreas Kampylis

Born and raised in Athens, Greece. At the age of 9 he started learning classical piano. At age 13 the electric guitar got his attention so he joined a few teenage bands. At the age of 22 he attended Philippos Nakas Conservatory and got a degree on modern singing and vocals, jazz theory and harmony. Furthermore, he remained in the Conservatory to further his knowledge on the electric guitar as well as musical arranging. Ηe's been in several swing/rock n roll bands and has performed & toured all over Greece. His biggest influence is Blues music and his favorite guitar players include Eric Clapton, Brian Setzer, B.B. King, Angus Young and Tommy Emmanuel.

Konstantinos Zotos

Konstantinos Zotos

Born in Serres and raised in Larissa, Greece. He’s been playing the piano from the early age of nine. Since then he concluded his music studies obtaining Classical piano and harmony degree and horn arrangement degree. He has also taken lessons in jazz piano and he developed his passion in blues roots. He has been a member of several rock ‘n’ roll bands and his biggest influences are Dr. John, Professor Longhair, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jon Lord, Reese Wynans and Memphis Slim.

Stavros Raptis

Stavros Raptis

He was born and raised in Athens. He started his music career at the age of 10, playing percussion at school events. At the age of 16, the the electric bass guitar got his attention and only one year later he became a student (now a diploma graduate) of double bass at the municipal conservatory of Maroussi (repertoire of classical music). At the same time, he is completing his theoretical studies (fuga level). He has collaborated with numerous musicians in recordings and concerts in different musical genres: punkrock, rock'n'roll, balkan and ethnic jazz, blues, swing jazz, classical. In 2012 he toured with his personal band MFH in 2 Balkan countries and 12 cities in Germany.

Dimitris Grigoriadis

Dimitris Grigoriadis

Born and raised in Athens, started playing drums at the age of 20 years old and since then he has played and recorded in a wide variety of styles (jazz/garage/rock n’ roll/post punk/hip hop) with numerous and diverse local bands. He is mostly self-taught but has attended seminars and clinics with leading figures of his instrument. He has a passion for the DIY ethos emerged from the 80’s American indie underground and he is also a sound technician.
